Mumbai, Aug 11: Two big movies Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gaddar 2’ have been released in theatres. Both the films were in discussion for a long time. Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ has been cleared for release with ‘A certificate’ after several cuts. Which also includes a change in the character of Akshay Kumar. Presenting Shiva now as his messenger. OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in lead roles. So, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel from “Gaddar 2” brought back old memories by returning together on screen after 22 years.
OMG 2 is a sequel to Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar’s film Oh My God. Which is directed by Amit Rai. In Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar’s Oh My God, Akshay played the character of Krishna, while in the sequel he was supposed to play the role of Shiva, but later it was changed to the role of God’s messenger.
Gadar 2 is directed by Anil Sharma. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur are playing lead roles. The blockbuster Gadar sequel is Gadar 2 releasing in 2021. In which the incidents of partition in 1947 were shown.
Gadar 2 earned around 17.73 crores across India through advance bookings on the first day, which is phenomenal. On the other hand, if we talk about OMG 2, the film of Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam has earned only about 3.50 crores through advance booking.
