Mumbai, December 22: Pankaj Tripathi, essaying the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the upcoming biopic ‘Main Atal Hoon,’ recently shared a profound insight into the late Prime Minister’s character that deeply resonated with him.
At the trailer launch event in Mumbai, Tripathi remarked, “In today’s modern language, it is called emotional quotient. Every year on his birthday in December He used to write a poem.”
The actor, who conducted extensive research on Vajpayee, shared, “After reading so much about him, I realized why and in what context he wrote these poems. I too am an emotional person So that’s why I connect with this quality of his the most. I can cry a lot for no reason.”
Pankaj Tripathi presents his view on the importance of biopics, stating, “A biopic is made so that people can be inspired by an important person. I look at biopics as an inspiration.”
Directed by Ravi Jadhav, ‘Main Atal Hoon’ aims to highlight the extraordinary life and political journey of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the 10th Prime Minister of India. The film portrays Vajpayee’s multifaceted personality as a poet, gentleman, and politician. Scheduled for release on January 19, 2024, the biopic aspires to provide a comprehensive view of Vajpayee’s legacy and his significant contributions to the nation.
