Actress Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas have moved out of their lavish California mansion for their dream home. Recently, Nick Jonas performed with his band Jonas Brothers at the Lollapalooza India Music Festival.
According to a Page Six report, their dream home became moldy due to water, which led to a legal battle that is still ongoing.
Priyanka-Nick bought this luxury property for $20 million in September 2019. His home has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a temperature-controlled wine room, a chef’s kitchen, an indoor bowling alley, an indoor basketball court, an entertainment lounge, a home theater, a billiards room, a gym, and a spa with steam showers.
According to a copy of a lawsuit filed in May 2023, the pool and spa began causing problems around April 2020, including waterproofing. Due to which mode contamination and its related issues started increasing.
At the same time water leakage was seen in the barbeque area on deck. The leak, just below the deck, damaged a portion of the interior, the complaint said.
According to the report, after all the problems that arose in the house, this premises was no longer suitable for living and this premises had now become dangerous for health. There were discussions on this matter, which were not successful, as well as a large amount of other significant losses, which required that the purchase and sale be canceled. The lawsuit further states that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are seeking damages through their trustee.
His lawyer further argued that all the costs incurred in the repair should be reimbursed to the plaintiff. It must also be compensated for loss of use and all other damages caused by the defendants’ conduct.
The exact cost has not yet been determined, but the complaint estimates more than $1.5 million will be waterproofing issues and about $2.5 million will be general damages.
