Many districts of Hyderabad and Telangana received heavy rains, bringing relief from the scorching heat. Heavy rains accompanied the storm on Saturday in many parts of the city and outskirts. Due to this heavy rain, the roads were flooded, which affected the traffic.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning saying that Hyderabad, Jangaon, Jagatial, Jogulamba Gadwal, Malkajgiri, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Nagarkurnool, Nirmal, Rangareddy, Rajanna Sirsilla, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Warangal, Wanaparthi, Yadadri Bhuvangiri and Hanamkonda. There may be light to moderate rain at different places. Also, a warning has been issued for storms in these areas.
In a bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday, people have been advised to keep a close eye on the deteriorating weather conditions and accordingly everyone should be prepared to move to safer places.
Light rain accompanied by lightning and gusty winds occurred in some parts of the state including the outskirts of the city on Friday evening. It got faster on Saturday morning.
Moderate to heavy rain occurred in several other areas including Rajendranagar, Nagole, Turkyamjal, Uppal, Sarurnagar, Keesara, Chaitanyapuri, Adikmet, Dammaiguda, Nacharam, Yaparal, Habsiguda, Gachibowli etc.
While on the one hand the office going people got stuck due to this rain, on the other hand the school going students also faced inconvenience due to the rain.
