A massive fire broke out in a hospital I-7 Chaudhary Eye Care Center in Lajpat Nagar area of capital Delhi on Wednesday. According to the information received, this terrible fire broke out in the children’s unit of I-7 Chaudhary Hospital. At the same time, the fire has spread to the second building of the hospital.
The hospital was completely burnt to ashes in this fierce fire. Delhi Police and Fire Department were informed about the fire. About 20 vehicles of fire tender reached the spot and are working to extinguish the fire.
An official of the fire department said that no one has been injured in the fire so far.
Delhi Fire Service (DFS) chief Atul Garg said that the fire was reported at I-7 Chaudhary Hospital in Lajpat Nagar-4, near Vinoba Puri Metro Station at 11:29 am.
The fire was so intense that smoke could be seen from a distance.
The fire brigade chief further said that efforts are on to control the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. This information will come out only after the fire is extinguished. The fire is suspected to be caused by a short circuit.
Confirming the matter, Delhi Fire Service (DFS) chief Atul Garg said that a fire broke out in a hospital located in Lajpat Nagar area. 16 vehicles have been sent to douse the fire. No casualties or injuries have been reported yet.
