NATO has urged all its member countries to allow the proposal to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine. A two-day meeting is being held in Brussels from Thursday to reach an agreement in this regard.
At a press conference ahead of the meeting, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has urged all member states to approve the resolution on aid to Ukraine.
The purpose of the two-day meeting, which begins in Brussels on Thursday, is to shift the responsibility of helping Ukraine to the 32-member NATO alliance instead of giving it to the US.
Negotiations are also underway among NATO members for financial assistance to Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg previously said Ukraine needs at least $43 billion in aid each year.
Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustam Umarov is also participating in this meeting with NATO Defense Ministers.
The meeting will be chaired by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
