Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly narrowly avoided injury when his convoy was involved in a minor accident on the Durgapur Expressway in West Bengal. The incident occurred near Dantanpur while Ganguly was en route to an event at Burdwan University. A lorry abruptly overtook his vehicle, forcing his driver to brake suddenly. This led to a chain reaction, with trailing vehicles colliding; two sustained minor damages. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and Ganguly proceeded to the event after a brief delay.
This incident follows a similar event in January when Ganguly’s daughter, Sana, was involved in a minor collision in Kolkata. In that case, a bus struck her car, but she emerged unscathed.
Despite the recent accident, Ganguly attended the Burdwan University function as scheduled, expressing his appreciation for the invitation and highlighting the region’s history of producing talented cricketers.
