Tom Holland has officially announced that the fourth installment in the Spider-Man film series will be titled “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” with a release date set for July 31, 2026. The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”
Holland, reprising his role as Peter Parker, described the upcoming movie as a “fresh start” for the character. Zendaya will return as MJ Jones-Watson, alongside Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. Additionally, Sadie Sink has joined the cast in an undisclosed role, sparking speculation about her character’s identity.
The title “Brand New Day” references a 2008 comic storyline in which Peter Parker’s life undergoes significant changes after a major event leads to everyone forgetting his identity as Spider-Man. This suggests that the film may explore themes of new beginnings and personal transformation for Peter Parker.
Filming is scheduled to commence in the summer of 2025. The movie’s release will follow “Avengers: Doomsday,” slated for May 1, 2026, positioning “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” between major Marvel Cinematic Universe events.
