Mumbai, November 12: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has refreshed memories by sharing an old picture from the sets of his 1991 film ‘Ajooba ‘ in Russia. The legendary actor shared details about his preparation process, emphasizing that despite his extensive experience, he still prepares diligently for each scene.
Amitabh posted an adorable black and white picture on Instagram, in which he is sitting on a chair with a script in his lap. The actor adorned a personalized designer leather jacket, leather trousers, turtle neck and tinted aviators, capturing the essence of the 1990s.
The caption accompanying the post reads: “Personal designer leather jacket, leather trousers, turtle neck, tinted aviators… Russia 1990… !!! But still preparing for the scene, script in hand. Wonder On the shoot of… 1990’s Russia!!!”
Directed by Shashi Kapoor and Gennady Vasiliev, ‘Ajooba’ starred Amitabh Bachchan in the lead superhero role. The film featured many stars like Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Shammi Kapoor, Dara Singh, Saeed Jaffrey and Amrish Puri.
As an Indian-Soviet co-production, ‘Ajooba’ took inspiration from Arabic folklore, particularly One Thousand and One Nights. Notably, the Russian language version of the film was ‘Black Prince Ajooba’, which was released in the Soviet Union in 1990, before its Indian release in 1991.
