Ahead of the release of Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar made a heartfelt appeal to audiences during the film’s premiere in Delhi on April 15, 2025. He urged viewers to keep their phones away and immerse themselves fully in the film’s narrative. Emphasizing the importance of experiencing the story without distractions, he stated, “If you try to check your Instagram during the movie, it will be a humiliation for the film.”
The film, a spiritual sequel to Kesari (2019), portrays the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre through the character of Advocate C. Sankaran Nair, played by Kumar. The premiere was attended by notable figures, including Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Kesari Chapter 2 is set to release on April 18, 2025, marking the 106th anniversary of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
