Mumbai, November 14: Actress Vidisha Srivastava, known for her role as Anita Bhabhi in the sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain on &TV, shared her thoughts on the traditions of Bhai Dooj. Reflecting on the significance of the festival, she spoke about the joy of exchanging gifts and the special moments with family.
“Bhai Dooj holds a very important place in my family. Our entire family comes together to celebrate, including cousins and sisters,” said the actress. She described the rituals, including performing Aarti for brothers and presenting them with crystal sugar, betel leaves, black gram, betel nuts, and fruits before applying tilak on their foreheads.
Vidisha Srivastava reminisced about the best gift she received on Bhai Dooj, a watch from her brother, which she still wears today. In return, she gifted him perfume, a collection he cherishes. Following the rituals, the family enjoys their favorite dishes together.
Expressing her excitement about the festival, she wished everyone a happy Bhai Dooj.
