As the romantic musical film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ prepares for its theatrical re-release this October, the makers have officially announced its sequel, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’, with actor Harshvardhan Rane returning in the lead role.
Harshvardhan Rane, who starred in the original 2016 film, is set to reprise his role in the sequel. While the storyline for ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’ has been finalized, the filmmakers are still in the process of selecting a director for the new project, according to a report by IANS.
For Harshvardhan, coming back to ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ feels like reconnecting with an old friend. He shared his enthusiasm, stating, “The love and connection that audiences have shown towards the film over the years is truly humbling. I’m excited to return to producer Deepak Mukut sir’s world and to present a story that respects the original while moving in a fresh and exciting direction.”
A spokesperson from Soham Rockstar Entertainment, the production house behind the film, confirmed, “We are delighted to announce that ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’ is officially in the works, with Harshvardhan Rane reprising his role as the lead. While the story for the sequel is ready, we are focused on finding a director with the vision to meet the high expectations of our audience.”

The original ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ depicted the love story of Inder, a hardened ex-convict, and Saru, a traditional librarian. Their journey together takes a dramatic and emotional turn as they fall in love, marry, and face life-altering tragedies.
