Mumbai, December 18 (UITV)- Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha recently shared a post on social media, in which she gave a befitting reply to actor Mukesh Khanna. Mukesh Khanna, famous for the character of ‘Shaktiman’, had questioned Sonakshi’s upbringing for not answering a question related to Ramayana correctly in a show. Sonakshi, while reacting to this, also warned Mukesh Khanna and said that such statements made about her should be given thoughtfully.
This controversy once again gained momentum when a reference to an episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ in 2019 came to light. In this episode, Sonakshi was asked for whom Lord Hanuman brought Sanjivani booti, but Sonakshi could not answer this question correctly. On this, Mukesh Khanna expressed his displeasure and said that it is not only Sonakshi’s fault, but her father’s fault, because he did not give enough information to his daughter about Indian culture and religious topics.
Mukesh Khanna had said, “If I were Shaktimaan, I would teach children about Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma. I would definitely tell them for whom Lord Hanuman brought Sanjivani booti.” He had commented in this way, teasing Sonakshi’s lack of knowledge and questioning her upbringing.
After this statement, Sonakshi shared a long post on Instagram, in which she directly replied to Mukesh Khanna. Sonakshi wrote, “Dear Mukesh Khanna Sir, recently I read your statement. When I did not answer a question related to Ramayana correctly in a show, you called it my father’s fault and questioned my upbringing.”

Sonakshi further wrote, “First of all, I want to remind you that on that day there were two more women with me on the hot seat, who did not know the correct answer to the same question, but you just took my name and it is clear why this happened. Yes, that day I forgot for whom Sanjivani booti was brought, but forgetting is a common human tendency.” The actress cited the qualities of Ram to Mukesh Khanna and said that if Lord Ram can forgive Manthra and Kaikeyi. If Lord Ram can forgive Ravan after that great war, then you can definitely forget this small thing. Sonakshi also said that she does not expect an apology from Mukesh Khanna, but she wants him not to bring up this incident again and again, so that she and her family can avoid such criticism.
Sonakshi warned that, “Next time you think of saying anything about my upbringing done by my father, remember that I have said my point respectfully and gently because of those values. If you make baseless statements about my values again, then I will have to be strict.”
