Mumbai, November 16: Nana Patekar made headlines on Thursday when a video went viral in which the veteran actor was seen beating up a fan. However, filmmaker Anil Sharma has clarified that the video is a scene from his upcoming film ‘Journey’.
The video circulated shows Nana Patekar, in a check suit and cap, preparing to shoot a scene in Varanasi for Anil Sharma’s film. In the footage, a fan approached him for a selfie, to which Patekar reacted by slapping the fan on the back of the head. After this another person present near the actor intervened and removed the fan.
फिल्म शूटिंग के दौरान सेल्फी लेने पहुंचे फैंस को नाना पाटेकर ने थप्पड़ मारा।
ये कैसा घमंड है जो सिर्फ गरीबो पर फूटता है

Director Anil Sharma insisted that the incident was part of the film’s story and had been taken out of context. “this is a shot from our film,” Patekar has not slapped anyone, Sharma told PTI. He further added that Patekar’s character in the film is suffering from dementia, and the scene featured a Includes interaction with a fan who approached him for a photo.
Expressing disappointment over the misrepresentation of the video, Sharma said, “People have a problem making noise without any reason… We are currently shooting for the film ‘Journey’ in Banaras.”
