Deepika Padukone has joined the chorus of praise for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film “12th Fail.” Taking to Instagram Stories, the Bollywood actor shared Alia Bhatt’s review of the film and expressed her agreement. Deepika congratulated the entire cast and crew, including Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Vikrant Massey, and Medha Shankr.
Alia Bhatt, in her earlier Instagram Stories post, had lauded “12th Fail” as one of the most beautiful films she had seen in a while. She praised the performances, especially highlighting Vikrant Massey’s spectacular acting, Medha Shankr’s portrayal of the heart and soul of Manoj’s journey, and Anant V Joshi’s outstanding contribution. Alia expressed being moved, inspired, and full of love after watching the film.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s “12th Fail,” based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, with Vikrant Massey in the lead role, has garnered acclaim from various celebrities. Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Rohit Shetty, and others have commended the film. Katrina Kaif mentioned in an interview that 2023 has been a great year for films, citing “12th Fail” as an example of a small, intimate film finding success based on its interesting story.

The film, which premiered on OTT after its theatrical release in October 2023, has been sent as an independent nomination to the Oscars 2024. Starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr, “12th Fail” tells the real-life story of Manoj Kumar Sharma’s journey from a young boy in Chambal to becoming an IPS officer after years of dedicated effort.
