During the knife attack on Saif Ali Khan at their Mumbai residence on January 16, 2025, Kareena Kapoor Khan prioritized her family’s safety and urged immediate medical attention for her husband. According to the chargesheet filed by Bandra Police, Kareena told Saif, who was bleeding from multiple stab wounds, “Ye sab chhod do, hospital chalte hain” (“Leave all this, let’s go to the hospital”) .
The incident unfolded when an intruder, identified as Bangladeshi national Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, entered their home and attacked Saif with a knife, causing injuries to his neck, back, and hands. Kareena quickly ensured the safety of their children, Taimur and Jehangir, by moving them to another floor. After the attacker fled, Saif, with the assistance of their son Taimur and a staff member, was taken to Lilavati Hospital for emergency surgery .
Saif underwent surgery to remove a knife lodged near his spine and has since been discharged from the hospital. The family has expressed gratitude for the support received during this challenging time .
