Dilip Kumar known as the Kohinoor of Indian Cinema was born in 1922 in Peshawar (now Pakistan). His real name is Mohammed Yusuf Khan and he has been awarded Filmfare Awards for Best Actor 8 times. Dilip is also a recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and also honored with Padma Bhusan, Padma Vibushan, and Nishan-e-Imtiaz by the Government of India and Government of Pakistan. His great acting skills in different roles and shots have made him one of the legends of Bollywood.
He started his career in the film industry in 1944 and his last movie was Qila in 1998. He was also a member of the Rajya Sabha in the Indian Parliament from 2000 to 2006. In a spanning filmy career of five decades, Dilip Kumar has acted in over five dozen Indian movies.
Dilip Kumar passed away on 07-July-2021 at the age of 98 due to an age-related issue in Mumbai, he was admitted to the hospital for many days.
