On Monday, Seoul’s Foreign Ministry said North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launch had been condemned by the top nuclear envoys of South Korea, the United States and Japan.
According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, North Korea tested an intermediate-range ballistic missile in the East Sea on Sunday.
On Sunday, Kim Gunn, South Korea’s special representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs, held talks with his US and Japanese counterparts Jang Pak and Hiroyuki Namazu, the ministry said.
The top nuclear envoys of South Korea, the US and Japan have condemned the launch, calling North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launch a violation of UN Security Council resolutions. They say that this launch is a threat to the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and the region.
