Chikkaballapur (Karnataka), October 26: – 12 people died when an SUV collided with a parked truck on National Highway-44, Bengaluru-Hyderabad Highway.
Bagepalli traffic police said about the accident that the victims were going from Bagepalli towards Chikkaballapur when the accident occurred.
According to the police, the condition of two other people in this road accident remains critical and they are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Chikkaballapur Superintendent of Police DL Nagesh said about this accident that the matter is being investigated. The exact reasons have not been revealed in the investigation so far. But preliminary investigation suggests that the driver could not see properly due to morning fog and the accident occurred.
Those who died in this road accident include 10 men and two women. Five people died on the spot and the remaining seven died on the way to the hospital.
The SP visited the spot and said, “The victims were coming from Andhra Pradesh.”
Giving information about the deceased, the police said that the deceased lived in Hongasandra, Bengaluru and were residents of Gorantla, Andhra Pradesh.
