Ayodhya, December 30: Elaborate security arrangements have been made during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ayodhya on Saturday, including around 5,000 police personnel and four National Security Guard (NSG) commando teams.
Scheduled to land at Ayodhya airport at 10:45 am, the Prime Minister’s visit is expected to end with departure for New Delhi at around 2:15 pm. Six companies of central paramilitary forces have already reached the temple town to ensure security for the event.
A significant police presence has been established, with the arrival of 2,000 police constables on Friday. Additionally, 14 companies of Territorial Armed Constabulary (PAC) have been strategically deployed in the district. The security force consists of 17 superintendents of police (SP), 40 additional SPs, 82 circle officers and 90 inspectors.
In anticipation of the event, a dedicated team of 75 traffic policemen has been deployed to manage and regulate the traffic efficiently. Senior Superintendent of Police, Raj Karan Nayyar outlined comprehensive security measures, highlighting the establishment of three super zones and 14 zones headed by DIG rank officers.
To enhance river security, a separate security wing including State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and PAC has been organised. The use of AI-based drones will further contribute to surveillance efforts, ensuring a strong security framework for the Prime Minister’s visit.
