August 21 – The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has announced the creation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based language app “Bhashini”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the G-20 Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting online in Bengaluru and talked to the G-20 delegates on the creation of AI based language app “Bhashini”. He said that we are working on the creation of language translation platform “Bhashini”. Which will support digital inclusion in India’s diverse languages.
Modi ji told that the goal of “Bhashini” is to provide a national digital platform for the language. So that services can be made available to the people using artificial intelligence and other techniques.
“Bhashini” app is India’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered language translation platform which aims to enable access to digital services and internet in Indian languages including voice based access.
“Bhashini” app is an important step towards breaking the barrier of Indian languages. Because most of the content available on the internet is in English which is beyond the reach of all Indians. That’s why “Bhashini” app is being created so that all content can be translated into Indian language so that more and more people start using internet.
