New Delhi, Sep 23: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Friday.
PMO on its official social media account During the meeting, Khandu congratulated the Prime Minister for the historic passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act (Women’s Reservation Bill) in both houses of Parliament. This bill is an important achievement as it paves the way for women’s representation in the Lok Sabha and state legislatures.
In a social media post, Chief Minister Khandu expressed his views on this transformational reform, saying that it will lead to greater representation of women in the highest decision-making bodies.
Khandu expressed gratitude to PM Modi for the bold step taken towards women’s empowerment. Additionally, the Chief Minister shared that he had fruitful discussions with the Prime Minister on various developmental issues related to Arunachal Pradesh.
