It has been decided by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India to make 10 percent reservation in the central paramilitary forces for ex-fire veterans. It will soon be implemented by CISF.
The Union Home Ministry has amended the Central Industrial Security Force Security Wing Rules. It has announced 10 percent reservation for ex-servicemen in the armed forces. Let us know that for the first batch, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also issued a notification to relax the maximum age limit by up to five years.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification on Thursday saying that 10 per cent vacancies will be reserved for ex-firemen and there will be a relaxation of up to five years in the upper age limit for the first batch of ex-firemen candidates. Also they will be exempted from physical efficiency test.
Let it be known that, CISF which comes under Ministry of Home Affairs, about 1,70,000 personnel are serving in it. It primarily provides security to 66 sensitive and major airports, Delhi Metro, nuclear and space institutes, 14 ports, Statue of Unity in Gujarat and other industrial units. Apart from this the force also provides security to 11 private establishments.
