In front of some destroyed houses in Mundakayil area, worried relatives are waiting for rescue teams to find some of them alive trapped under the debris. Rain is still continuing in the affected areas, which is creating obstacles in the rescue operation. Mud and big and small boulders have filled the entire area.
Meanwhile, the police have banned people from travelling to Wayanad without giving any reason. Most of the roads leading to the affected areas are crowded with people, which is causing hindrance in the movement of rescue vehicles.
