Aam Aadmi Party accused the BJP government of Haryana and said that in view of the elections, the water of Yamuna river to Delhi has been stopped by the BJP government of Haryana. Describing it as an election conspiracy, Delhi government minister Atishi said that the Delhi government will write a letter to the Haryana government on this issue. If necessary, the matter will be taken to the Supreme Court.
According to Atishi, water complaints have been coming from many places since last few days, especially water complaints are coming from areas where there were no complaints before. On investigation it was found that the water of Yamuna is being stopped by the Haryana government.
Atishi said that the level of Yamuna in Wazirabad is usually 674 feet, which goes down to its minimum level of 672 feet. Haryana continuously stopped water to Delhi from May 11 to May 21. The water level in Yamuna on May 11 was 671.6 feet. It remained at a level of 671.6 feet for three days. On 14 and 15 May it stood at 671.9 feet. The level reached 671.3 feet on May 16. This water level came down further on 17th, 18th, 19th May. The water level here reached 671 feet on May 21. Then it further decreased to 670.9 feet.
Atishi says that perhaps it has happened for the first time that the water level of Yamuna has decreased so much in Wazirabad, Delhi.
He said that the Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in Delhi on May 25, in view of which the BJP government of Haryana is plotting to disturb the people of Delhi. Also, she is trying to defame the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal’s government.
He asked the people of Delhi to be vigilant. He further said that a conspiracy will be hatched to confuse the voters of Delhi by harassing the people of Delhi continuously with new conspiracies till May 25.
Atishi said that the Delhi government has done more than the promises it had made.
