The first phase of voting took place on Wednesday under the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024. According to information received from sources, about 61.13 percent voting took place during the first phase. PM Modi will address an election rally at around 12 noon at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar. After this, PM Modi will address another rally at around 3 pm at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Sports Complex in Katra.
This election rally of PM Modi will be the first election rally for the ongoing assembly elections in the valley. Earlier, he had addressed a public meeting in Doda, Jammu for the BJP on September 14.

On Wednesday, Tarun Chugh visited the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, after which while talking to journalists, he said that the Prime Minister will be on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. This visit of the Prime Minister will prove to be a game changer i.e. a milestone for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has made tight security arrangements by coordinating with the Special Protection Group (SPG), responsible for the security of the Prime Minister.
A team of SPG had reached Srinagar four days before PM Modi’s visit to coordinate with the officials of the Union Territory regarding the security details of the VVIP protectee.
PM Modi will address the voters at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium located in Ram Munshi Bagh area of Srinagar for the second phase of polling in Jammu and Kashmir on September 25. It is expected that a large number of people will come to listen to PM Modi.
Arrangements will be made for the entry of all the people who are going to participate in the program organized in Srinagar. Police said that some traffic diversions will also be done, so that the rally can be conducted smoothly.
Police said that a detailed standard operating procedure (SOP) is for the Prime Minister’s visit, which we are implementing very closely.
Sharp shooters of the security forces will be deployed on all high-rise buildings around the venue. Along with electronic surveillance, human security will also be increased to ensure complete security.
