New Delhi, November 13 (UITV)- Voting for the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 has started at 7 am on Wednesday. In this phase, votes are being cast on 43 seats of the state. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the voters to participate in this festival of democracy with full enthusiasm and vote in large numbers.
On the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi posted appealing to the voters to vote and said, “Today is the first phase of voting in the Jharkhand Assembly elections. I urge all the voters to vote with full enthusiasm in this festival of democracy. On this occasion, my heartiest congratulations to all the young colleagues who are going to vote for the first time! Remember – first vote, then refreshment!” This message posted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on X was especially for the youth who are voting for the first time.
A total of 15,344 polling stations have been set up for these seats for the first phase of voting in Jharkhand, out of which long queues of voters are being seen since morning at many booths located in the urban areas of Ranchi. There is a significant number of women and young voters in these queues, who are excited to play their part in the democratic process.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also appealed to the voters to vote. He said in his post, “Voting has started today for the first phase of Jharkhand elections, Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election and by-elections in 31 assembly constituencies of 10 states. All voters are requested to cast their valuable vote to strengthen and empower democracy and the Constitution.”
He appealed to the people of Jharkhand and said that they have to vote for social justice, inclusive development, good governance and protection of water, forest, land and tribal civilization. Kharge also said that divisive forces should be kept away from the state.
Further, he said that before pressing the button on the EVM, think that we have to form a government that ensures the involvement and participation of the people. We do not have to form a government that divides, misleads and polarizes the public. Only then will we be able to protect the values of the Constitution. Welcoming the first-time voters, he encouraged them to exercise their rights wisely while voting and also encouraged others to vote, he said that we welcome and congratulate all our colleagues who are voting for the first time. Please exercise your right to vote thoughtfully. Do vote and inspire others to vote as well.
Thus, regarding voting in the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections, the leaders have appealed to the voters to cast their votes to build a strong foundation of democracy.
