New Delhi, December 20: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has responded to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) notice to its convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the canceled excise policy scam case. AAP said lawyers are currently examining the ED notice and will take appropriate legal action.
The ED had summoned Kejriwal to appear on December 21 for questioning in the alleged excise duty policy scam case. This is the second time that the Chief Minister has been summoned regarding this matter.
Earlier this year, the ED had arrested AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the same case. The party has launched a ‘Main Bhi Kejriwal’ (I am also Kejriwal) signature campaign in Delhi, seeking public opinion on whether Kejriwal should run the government from jail if he is arrested by the ED. This campaign, which started on December 1, is going to end on December 20.
