New Delhi, December 14: The Union Home Ministry (MHA) has taken swift action by ordering a thorough investigation in response to the security breach in Parliament during the day. This investigation will be conducted under the leadership of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Anish Dayal Singh.

The function of the committee is to investigate the reasons behind the breach in the security of Parliament, identify any lapses and propose further action. The Home Ministry stressed that the committee will expeditiously submit its report, which will also include recommendations to enhance security measures inside Parliament.
The move has been taken in response to the Lok Sabha Secretariat’s request to the Home Ministry for a security review after the breach earlier in the day. In the breach two persons jumped from the visitor’s gallery and left behind yellow smoke. The intruders were immediately caught and handed over to Delhi Police, who have started investigating the security lapse.
A total of five people have been arrested in connection with the incident, including two from inside Parliament, two from outside the complex and one from Gurugram, Haryana. The thorough investigation and subsequent actions are aimed at addressing the security lapses and ensuring the safety of the parliamentary complex.
