Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appointed Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu along with Janasena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan held a massive road show in support of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates. N. to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi greeted the crowd by shaking both his hands, while Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan responded to the cheers of the people by joining hands.
A large crowd of people gathered on both sides of Bandar Road to welcome the leaders of the NDA alliance. Some people also carried party flags and placards in their hands in support of TDP, BJP and JSP.
A group of women carrying posters of PM Modi were walking ahead of the leaders’ cars. A huge road show was organized from Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium to Benz Circle, which was about three km long.
In view of the Prime Minister’s grand road show, the police had made elaborate security arrangements.
TDP candidate from Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat Kesineni Shivnath and NDA candidates from seven assembly constituencies also participated in this road show.
Before reaching Vijayawada, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting of NDA at Rajampet in Rayalaseema region. PM Modi said that now the countdown of YSR Congress Party government has started. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people of the state to ensure rapid development of the state by electing a double engine government in this Lok Sabha election.
Elections to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly and 25-member Lok Sabha are scheduled to be held on May 13. According to the seat sharing agreement, TDP is contesting in 144 Vidhan Sabha and 17 Lok Sabha seats, while 10 Vidhan Sabha and six Lok Sabha seats are for BJP and JSP is contesting in 21 Vidhan Sabha and two Lok Sabha seats.
TDP, BJP and JSP have come together after a gap of a decade. TDP-BJP alliance was supported by JSP in 2014. Later, Pawan Kalyan distanced himself from both parties, while TDP also broke ties with BJP. The 2019 election was contested by the TDP on its own, but was defeated by the YSR Congress. At the same time, BJP was fighting the 2019 elections alone, where BJP did not get any seats in both the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections and narrowed down to zero.
The JSP had joined hands with the BSP and Left parties to contest the elections and managed to win only one seat.
Lok Sabha Election 2024 results will be declared on June 4. It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a whirlwind tour in various states of the country in view of the Lok Sabha elections.
