Mumbai Police are on high alert following a WhatsApp message from a Pakistani number threatening an attack on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ office. The sender identified himself as Malik Shahbaz Humayun Raza. The message was received by the Mumbai Traffic Police, prompting the Worli Police to register a case and initiate an investigation. Security measures around the Chief Minister’s office and other key government buildings have been intensified as a precaution.
This incident follows a recent threat to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who received an email on February 20 threatening to bomb his car. Two individuals from Buldhana were arrested in connection with that threat.
Authorities are working to trace the source of the latest threat and assess its credibility. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
