In Chhattisgarh Naxalites are being continuously attacked and killed. But still naxalites are not improving and they are attacking security personnel. Naxalites have launched a major attack on the Bijapur-Sukma border of Chhattisgarh last night. The Naxalites detonated IEDs on the jawans who went on an operation in the forests of Mandimarka in Tarrem police station area. Two jawans were martyred in this attack, while four jawans were injured. The injured jawans are undergoing treatment at the district hospital. Preparations are being made to refer them to Raipur for better treatment, where they will be taken by helicopter.
CRPF, COBRA, DRG, STF personnel were out for anti-naxal operation on the border of Bijapur district in Sukma, when Naxalites detonated an IED in the forests of Mandimarka in Tarrem police station area.
Bijapur SP Jitendra Kumar Yadav said that in this blast STF head constable Bharat Lal Sahu and constable Sater Singh were martyred. Komal Yadav, Purshottam Nag, Sanjay Kumar and Siyaram Sori were injured in this attack. The injured jawans have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
SP Jitendra Kumar Yadav said that the security forces jointly launched an anti-Naxal operation in three districts of Bijapur, Dantewada and Sukma. Naxalites blasted an IED on the Bijapur-Sukma border during this campaign, the jawans who were injured in this IED blast are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The condition of injured jawans is better than before. Preparations are being made to refer him to Raipur for further treatment.
He further said that Naxalites are carrying out attacks on security personnel by resorting to guerilla techniques and avoiding hand-to-hand combat. At present, the team of security forces is conducting a checking operation in the Naxal affected area.
Earlier, security forces had killed five Naxalites in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur in early July in a major operation against Naxalites. The encounter took place between the security forces and the Naxalites in the Abuzhmad area of Narayanpur. Huge quantity of weapons were also recovered from them.
