Jaipur, December 28: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday announced that LPG cylinders will be made available to BPL and Ujjwala beneficiaries of Rajasthan at Rs 450 from January 1. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the subsidy amount will be sent to the accounts of women beneficiaries of the BPL category and beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra program at Lamba Harisinghpura in Tonk and said, “Our government is working with determination to make Rajasthan the leading state of the country. Every decision is being taken by our government keeping in mind the progress of the state and its people. The state government is engaged in realizing the dream of a developed India and our government will leave no stone unturned in it.”
Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and selected BPL families will get LPG cylinders for Rs 450 under the ‘Kitchen Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme’ from January 1.
Under this scheme, all the beneficiaries will be entitled to take a total of 12 cylinders in a year. Any beneficiary who wants to avail the benefits of this scheme will have to register himself in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra camps.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that 39 types of public welfare schemes are being taken to the common people through Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra camps. He further said that the priority of the government is the safety of women and their economic upliftment.
