A faulty helicopter being carried by the Indian Air Force’s MI-17 helicopter crashed in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. This accident took place at Rambada on the Kedarnath walking route. Officials said that the private helicopter suddenly fell from the sky to the ground near the Mandakini river in Lincholi. There is no news of anyone being injured in this accident.
It is being told that a helicopter of Crystal Company had broken down in Kedarnath Dham, for which MI-17 helicopter was called. As soon as the MI-17 helicopter took off, the faulty helicopter tied to it fell from the sky to the ground after reaching a short distance.
No one was present at that place when the faulty helicopter fell to the ground. According to information received from sources, the faulty helicopter lost its balance after reaching a great height. This accident took place while taking the helicopter of Crystal Company from Kedarnath to Gauchar helipad.
Rudraprayag’s District Tourism Officer Rahul Chaubey said that when the MI-17 lost balance, the pilot landed the helicopter in an empty place.
No damage of any kind has been caused in this accident. Earlier in the month of May, a major accident was averted in Kedarnath Dham due to the pilot’s presence of mind. The pilot of the helicopter flying to Kedarnath Dham made a safe emergency landing to avoid an accident. The helicopter pilot maintained patience when there was a technical fault in the helicopter and saved the lives of 6 people by making a safe landing. The helicopter took off from Sersi to Kedarnath Dham.
Rudraprayag’s District Disaster Management Officer NS Rajwar had said about this accident that the helicopter took off from Sersi to Kedarnath in the morning. The emergency landing of the helicopter had to be done 100 meters before the Kedarnath helipad due to technical fault in the helicopter.
