Gorakhpur, Sep 17: On the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a special gift for Gorakhpur in the form of 35 development projects worth Rs 343 crore.
Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for 41 more projects, including the notable Bhandu Singh Commercial Complex and a multi-level parking facility. The total estimated cost of these projects is Rs 27.53 crore. Additionally, among these projects is Gaurav Sangrahalaya (Museum) with a budget of Rs 20.43 crore.
The inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony will be held in the afternoon at Ramlila Maidan located in Mansarovar.
The development projects that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate include two Jal Nigam Nagariya projects worth Rs 193,69,70,000, three UPRNN Pratham projects worth Rs 4,32,68,000 and 30 Municipal Corporation projects worth Rs 19,08,19,000. ,
Apart from this, the Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone of various projects under the Rural Engineering Department, UP Project Corporation, UPRNN Pratham, Municipal Bodies, PWD, DUDA and others. These projects include essential aspects such as roadways, drainage systems, sewage management, heritage conservation, trauma centers and initiatives aimed at reducing traffic congestion in busy areas of the city.
The move follows Chief Minister Adityanath’s commitment to promote the development of Gorakhpur. Earlier this month, he had gifted development projects worth about Rs 629 crore to the city. On September 2, he inaugurated and began ground work of 195 development projects with a key focus on rural drinking water initiatives, reflecting the government’s dedication to enhancing the city’s infrastructure and services.
