The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a substantial cash reward totaling ₹58 crore for the Indian cricket team following their victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This bonus is approximately three times the official winner’s prize money of $2.24 million.
The distribution of the reward is as follows: each player in the 15-member squad, along with head coach Gautam Gambhir, will receive ₹3 crore. Assistant coaches and support staff are allocated ₹50 lakh each, while members of the selection committee will receive ₹25 lakh each.
BCCI President Roger Binny emphasized that this reward acknowledges the team’s dedication and excellence on the global stage. Board Secretary Devajit Saikia praised the players for maintaining India’s dominance in limited-overs cricket, stating that the victory justifies India’s top ranking in white-ball cricket.
This triumph marks India’s second consecutive global title, following their Twenty20 World Cup victory last year, solidifying their position as a powerhouse in international cricket.
