Jasprit Bumrah has rejoined the Mumbai Indians (MI) squad ahead of their upcoming IPL 2025 match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Wankhede Stadium on April 7. His return follows a rehabilitation period for a back injury sustained during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series earlier this year.
To announce his comeback, MI released a Game of Thrones-themed video titled “Ready to Roar.” In the video, Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, narrates a story to their son, Angad, paralleling Bumrah’s journey to that of a lion cub growing into the king of the jungle. She recounts, “In 2013, there was a cub who entered this jungle… Over the years, he fought many battles… Once a cub, now a lion, and the lion is back.”
Although Bumrah has rejoined the squad, it is unlikely he will feature in the game against RCB, having just returned from a long injury break.
Fans eagerly await his full return to the field, anticipating the impact of his presence on MI’s performance in the ongoing season.
