The news is coming that the team’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be rested from the fourth test. This news has not been officially confirmed yet by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In the three matches of the current series, Jasprit Bumrah has bowled 80.5 overs and taken 17 wickets at an excellent average of 13.64. So far, Jasprit Bumrah is the bowler taking the most wickets in this series.
Whether Jasprit Bumrah will take part in the fifth Test or not may depend on the result of the fourth Test. There is no indication yet whether the team management will choose Bumrah’s replacement player or not.
Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar is expected to join the team in the absence of Bumrah.
