Former England captain Nasser Hussain has targeted Ben Duckett for praising Yashasvi Jaiswal. Commenting on the aggressive attitude of India’s young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ben Duckett had said that Yashasvi Jaiswal’s aggressive innings was influenced by England’s baseball strategy.
The third Test match of the five-Test series between India and England was played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, where Jaiswal scored a brilliant unbeaten double century. In the third test of the current series, India defeated England by 434 runs.
England player Ben Duckett not only praised Jaiswal for his century, but also said that when you see the players of the opposition team playing like this, it seems that we (England) should take some credit for it.
Nasir Hussain reacted strongly to Duckett’s comment and said that Jaiswal has not achieved success due to any influence of England’s strategy, rather he has got this success due to hard work and experience gained in tournaments like IPL.
Jaiswal has performed brilliantly in this series and till now he has scored the most runs in this series. He has scored a total of 545 runs at a strike rate of over 80 and an average of 109.
Nasser Hussain, while reacting to England’s poor performance in the series, has advised the team to analyze its mistakes. Nasser Hussain has urged the Ben Stokes-led team to focus on making necessary adjustments ahead of the fourth Test. Three matches have been played so far in the five-Test series, in which India has won two consecutive matches and taken a 2-1 lead in the series.
The fourth match of the five-Test series will be played in Ranchi, where the England team will aim to make a comeback after consecutive defeats. England would like to make a comeback in the series by winning this match against host India and this will be the last chance for England to level the series. India would like to win this match and capture the series.
