Rinku Singh will play the second test match against England Lions. On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a big announcement. The selection committee has included left-handed batsman Rinku Singh in the India ‘A’ team. India ‘A’ team will play a four-day test match against England Lions from January 24 in Ahmedabad.
Rinku Singh is in the headlines these days due to his excellent performance in the shorter formats. He has an excellent first-class record with an average of 57.57 in 44 matches. Rinku Singh has got this golden opportunity when he can strengthen his place in the Test team. Like in the shorter format, if he is successful in performing better in the Test matches, then he can also be included in the senior Test team. He has played some excellent innings in this season’s Ranji Trophy, as a result of which he has been given an opportunity in India A. Recently, middle-order batsman Rinku Singh played a brilliant inning of 92 runs against Kerala.

The opening match was played on Saturday against England Lions, which ended in a draw. The second four-day Test match will start from January 24 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Citing personal reasons, Virat Kohli has been ruled out of the first two matches of the 5-Test series against England starting from January 25. BCCI has not yet announced his replacement. But it is believed that BCCI can give a chance to Cheteshwar Pujara as a replacement for Virat Kohli. At present Cheteshwar Pujara is in good form. Cheteshwar Pujara has played five innings in three matches for Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy 2024 and has scored more than 40 runs in each of his innings. Pujara has also scored a double century in a match.
