The T20 World Cup is going to be held in June 2024, in which the Indian team will be led by Rohit Sharma. Which has been disclosed by Jai Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This has been confirmed in a report.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said at the unveiling of the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, “I want to promise all of you that we will hoist the Indian flag under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in Barbados in the T2O World Cup 2024.”
Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has reportedly confirmed.
BCCI Secretary said on Virat Kohli’s absence in the Test series against England, “Virat Kohli is not one of those players who will leave the series without any major need. Give them rights.”
Talking about the importance of Ranji Trophy, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said, “Ranji will be made mandatory for every player. Every player will have to play Ranji Trophy before selection in the Indian team or IPL franchise.”
