Centurion, November 14 (UITV) – Team India’s performance in the ongoing T20 series against South Africa has been excellent and the team has taken a 2-1 lead in this series. In the third match, Indian batsman Tilak Verma scored a brilliant century while batting at number-3, which helped India to score a strong score of 219/6 while batting first. Tilak scored an unbeaten 107 runs hitting 7 sixes and 8 fours in 56 balls. In reply, the host team South Africa could score only 208 runs and India won this match by 11 runs and took a 2-1 lead in the series.
Meanwhile, young Indian batsman Tilak Verma, who was the hero of the third match, praised his captain and appreciated his guidance and support.

After his century, Tilak also talked about his partnership with opener Abhishek Sharma. Abhishek scored a half-century in 25 balls and shared a crucial 107-run partnership with Tilak. Tilak said, “I just focused on my basics. There was variation on the pitch from the beginning and after Abhishek was out, it was not easy for the new batsmen to bat on this pitch. I prepared myself to bat for a long time and waited for a partnership.
Suryakumar Yadav talked about Tilak batting at number-3 and told that after the second T20, Tilak had expressed his desire to bat at number 3. Suryakumar said, “He (Tilak) came to my room and said give me a chance to bat at number 3, I want to perform well. Then I also said okay, you will get a chance … go and prove yourself. I am very happy that he did what he said.” This is a story where an example of trust and support was seen between the captain and the player.
