Before his record-breaking 35-ball century for Rajasthan Royals, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi received words of encouragement from two of India’s cricket legends, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
Rajasthan Royals team manager Romi Bhinder revealed that during a previous match in Guwahati, Suryavanshi met MS Dhoni. Impressed by the young talent, Dhoni remarked, “You got the baby in your team. The baby is showing great shots like a matured player,” highlighting Suryavanshi’s calm demeanor and aggressive shot-making.
Suryavanshi also had the opportunity to interact with Virat Kohli during a match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Kohli shared valuable advice, emphasizing the importance of staying grounded, being humble, and maintaining a strong work ethic.
These interactions with Dhoni and Kohli provided Suryavanshi with inspiration and guidance, contributing to his historic performance and rapid rise in the IPL.
