New Delhi, Sep 13: Indian national football team coach Igor Stimac has reportedly been in charge of selecting the squad for a crucial Asian Cup match against Afghanistan in June 2022. Interestingly, it was revealed that the All India Football Federation (ABATF) had introduced the astrologer to Stimac. According to a report in the Indian Express, AIFF critic Kushal Das has admitted to facilitating the introduction between Stimac and Jyotish in May 2022.
Ahead of the important matches on June 11, 2022, Stimac had initially presented a list of teenage players. The result of this match was important for India’s ranking. This list was shared with Jyotish on June 9. In response, the astrologer gave feedback against each player, including comments such as “good”, “could perform very well, but should avoid exaggeration”, “less than stellar day”, etc. ” “Exciting day for him but can lead to over-aggression,” and “Not ideal for that day.”
During May and June 2022, India participated in four matches against Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. Reports suggest that Stimac continued to consult the astrologer before every match, sharing information on the team and results.
