Doha/Gaza, November 28: The Israel-Hamas ceasefire has been extended for another two days, Qatar has confirmed. Qatar has announced that Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend the current humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for an additional two days.

There has been no confirmation from Israel yet on extending the ceasefire by two days, but the ceasefire extension has been confirmed by Hamas. Hamas has issued a statement announcing that the temporary ceasefire will be extended for the next two days. According to reports, Hamas will release 20 Israeli hostages in two days.
Quoting a statement from Qatar News Agency, Xinhua News Agency reported that, on Monday, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al Ansari expressed hope that, “This humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza will lead to a permanent ceasefire.” Due to this the case of killing civilians will end.
Last week Israel and Hamas agreed to a four-day ceasefire deal. Agreeing on this agreement was possible through the mediation of America, Qatar, and Egypt. Under this agreement, in exchange for stopping attacks in Gaza, the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails, providing more humanitarian aid to the Palestinian Territory, and the release of 50 Israeli hostages, who are being held hostage by Hamas, are included.
A preliminary ceasefire agreement came into effect on Friday and is set to expire on Tuesday.
