Beirut, November 23 (UITV) – Three paramedics were killed in an Israeli air strike in Lebanon, while three others were injured in this air strike. Lebanon’s Public Health Ministry informed that the attack took place at Der Kanun Ras Al Ain junction.
According to the report of news agency Xinhua, the Public Health Emergency Operation Center of the ministry issued a statement saying that the Israeli army has continued to target paramedics and ambulance services in southern Lebanon.
The statement said, “Today Israel has attacked the team associated with the Islamic Health Authority Association-Civil Defense for the second time in a row and three paramedics were martyred in this attack, while three others were injured.” It is worth noting that since September 23, the Israeli army has been carrying out air strikes on Lebanon. Along with this, it has also started a ‘limited’ ground operation across the border, the purpose of which is said to be to weaken Hezbollah.
Many commanders, including Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, have also been killed in Israeli attacks and many of the organization’s bases have suffered heavy damage. However, the Lebanese group has also retaliated by firing missiles at Israel.
The conflict began on October 8, 2023, when Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel in support of Hamas in Gaza. Earlier on October 7, Hamas launched a major attack on Israel, in which about 1200 people were killed and more than 250 were taken hostage. In response, Israel launched a military operation in the Gaza Strip occupied by the Palestinian group Hamas.
Israeli attacks on Gaza have caused massive devastation, killing thousands of Palestinians. The conflict has put the entire region under the deepening shadow of war. The latest violence between Lebanon and Israel has further escalated tensions in the Middle East, where political and military conflicts are already going on.
