Former US President Donald Trump has announced that he will no longer have presidential debates with Vice President Kamala Harris. He said that he will no longer participate in any other presidential debate with Harris. On Thursday, Trump claimed in a social media post that he won the debate organized by ABC News on Tuesday night in Philadelphia.
Republican candidate Trump has accused Democratic candidate Harris of not accepting the debate invitation from NBC News, Fox News and CBS News.
On the other hand, on Thursday, Democratic candidate Harris said through a post on the social media platform X that we should have another debate to fulfill our responsibility towards the voters.
Harris’ campaign team has also claimed victory in the first debate. A statement was issued earlier by the team, according to which, Vice President Harris maintained her hold on the stage on every important issue for the American people.
According to the report of Xinhua News Agency, a CNN survey was conducted of all the people who watched the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. A CNN survey conducted showed that 63 percent of people agreed with Harris’s better performance in the Philadelphia debate. 63 percent of people believe that Harris’ performance in the presidential debate was better than Donald Trump’s performance.
According to a Fox News report, 12 voters on the panel believe that Kamala Harris won the debate, while five voters supported Trump. Many said that Trump did not know how to attack his new opponent who entered the presidential race.
An article in the New York Times said that many Democratic strategists and officials praised Harris’ performance after the debate, while Republicans complained about the “tone of questions” of the moderators and admitted that Trump had lost the ‘opportunity to attack’.
