Washington, Dec 18: Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who is eyeing a presidential run in 2024, ran an impressive 42 campaign events last week, leaving all other candidates behind in terms of activity. USA Today reports indicate that the 38-year-old, who claims to have a net worth of around $630 million as a biotech entrepreneur, plans to keep up this intense schedule with 38 more appearances scheduled for the current week.
During a recent campaign stop in Iowa, Ramaswami openly acknowledged the logistical challenges of his itinerary. However, he stressed that the crowd’s enthusiasm in the state acts as a driving force to keep them motivated.
A graduate of Yale Law School, Ramaswami attributes his success to a simple formula: “W-O-R-K.” He shared that this work ethic has been a guiding principle throughout his life, drawing inspiration from his parents’ lessons.
Ramaswamy’s tireless program did not go unnoticed by those around him. Anson Frericks, a longtime associate of Ramaswamy and co-founder of Strive Asset Management, highlighted the absence of downtime in Ramaswamy’s agenda. Frericks, who has known Ramaswamy since high school, described him as a unique person who manages phone calls along with morning workouts. Ramaswamy’s 16-hour workdays at Strive have created a culture of strong work ethic that permeates the entire organization.
In terms of national standing, Ramaswamy is currently ranked fourth in the RealClearPolitics polls aggregation and is garnering five percent support in the Republican primaries. He placed fifth in the New Hampshire state primary with seven percent support. The state’s primary on January 23, followed by Iowa on January 15, could significantly impact the trajectory of the Republican Party’s nomination race, where former President Donald Trump holds a substantial lead.
